HEALTH, HOLISTIC I'd like to talk about physical ailments. Many physical issues are the product of psychosomatic or spiritual illness. Quite a lot has been said and written on this topic. As a preface to my straightforward conclusions on the topic I will say that the medical establishment's mindset is in its own world where there is a vested monetary and intellectual interest in producing reasons for the various physical maladies that then go on to be explainable in such a way that the medical establishment can produce a treatment for pay. The most simple example I can give for explaining the power of psychosomatics is in the muscles and ligaments of the body. Muscular strength depends substantially on the inner mind, the habits that have accumulated in the body, and the present circumstance of the personality. Muscular strength and weakness when measured between two different people is going to depend on how the person has trained their mind and body. In an extreme comparison a body builder bench pressing 300lb is going to be stronger than any completely untrained person. However the difference in muscular strength as compared between two untrained people's results on a test of strength is more like the person with the less-strong result has stage fright. That is a simple example of psychosomatic effects. Compassionately, pain and whether or not it is experienced chronically takes place in the mind. Speaking from my own experience, I know that poor habits in the outward behavior of a person and in their mind (as simple as "not enough spirit" and "the mind, the mental place we all have, may be in a such a state that it gets into a habit of turning away from what is the upright and healthy path of the body, its life force, bones, nerves, flesh, ligaments and sinews.) are often the result of feedback loops being presupposed by the intellect (as contrasted with the spirit). The simple form of the feedback loop I am talking about is an expectation of discomfort, pain or terror whether it is subconsciously created in a trauma or unconsciously developed by a so-called intelligent response to a particular train of thought. When saying "it is all in the mind" it does not mean that the body does not require some certain amount of time, it does not mean that there won't be some unexpected, unusual movements or sensations within the body. For a simple example of the unexpected, when an undesirable and chronic tension in the body that has been held for three, five, ten, or many more years is finding its resolution there is often some amount of spasms of that muscle. Nearby muscles, ligaments, etc, are also finding that what used to be a platform for their own daily comportment will be finding their new (and improving) orientation in the body. So there will be motion, sensation, experiences and often even a noise during such an event as the relief of a long-term chronic tension. Things in the mind, what is commonly called thoughts, thinking, and memories will also often make their noises in the soul. On the physical side it is plainly visible in the anatomy of a person that the body is held upright in its bipedal architecture adapted to Earth's gravity. Therefore it is easy to see why there will be visible or invisible motion in other parts of the musculature of a person when the chronic tension is finding its resolution. I offer an incomplete list of things in the body affected by a chronic muscle tension: BODILY A. Blood flow     Aa. Flow that was halted at the point where the chronic tension squeezed the capillaries, veins, et al.     Ab. Using the analogy of a rubber hose for the veins, we know that if we stopper the flow of such a hose it will expand in the place of anti-flow as the liquid builds up, as the hose stretches in response to the flow.     Ac. Blood pressure throughout the body. All of the pressure of the hose's body before the flow's stopper'd point will be increased. All of the pressure of the flow that gets past the stopper'd point will also have a different characteristic from its natural optimum (unstopper'd, not passing through a chronically tense muscle) whether it is drippy and weak or pulsing through, or pressurized like when a person puts their thumb over the end of a garden hose. B. Passage of signals throughout the nerves     Ba. A chronic muscle tension is of course associated with a nerve signal pattern that is characterized in the most obvious part as too-much engagement with the muscle. The nerve is firing off a certain signal that causes the muscle to tense all of the time instead of only when would be natural for the particular muscle and nerve we have found in association with it. The electric lense. There are many synapse in the nervous tissue, and under a microscope the synapse visibly engage in carrying what are recognizable as electrical signals through the lengths of the nervous tissue. Being made of a natural, fleshy substance, the activity of the synapse under the duress of engaging a muscle to be chronically tense will require more of the body's healing, upkeep, and repairing resources (nutrition and components of the body's healing factors). C. Centers of gravity in bones and muscle groups     Ca. A chronic tension in one muscle is pulling on its platform; the bones, ligaments, and especially the muscles local to the place of tension, throwing the center of gravity awry from where they belong in the upright position of the body. MENTALLY & PSYCHICALLY Since a psychosomatically caused muscular tension is often the result of a feedback loop that is from a long time ago such as the avoidance of a memory or  response to an experience (whether a traumatic event or some kind of vain decision), it makes sense that some thoughts, thinking and memories may make their noises and sensations within as things change and nerve signal patterns change in their relationship to the rest of the brain. SUMMARY TO "HEALTH, HOLISTIC" The simple form of the above message is as follows: The body, its brain, and the mind are always forming habits and the habits often become invisible to a person's consciousness although the bad results (chronic tension, pain, evil thinking) are creating suffering of some kind or another in the person. Since the body, its brain, and the mind are always forming habits, the way to achieve the resolution of many maladies is to walk the body throughout the day into better habit. Exercises, gentle or vigorous, are a way to walk the physic into a better habit. Simple prayers are a way to walk the mental atmosphere into a better light. Doing things that are plainly good for anyone & not doing things that are plainly bad for anyone (as if you were anyone else in your same circumstances) is the way to clear out conflict between the inner and outer man. With conflict's resolution comes greater peace, strength, and good will. I may expand on this message "HEALTH, HOLISTIC" in the future. Decorative Separator
